The Elderslie Project
In the Elderslie Project, Built to Desire delivered a custom kitchen and laundry that feel both graceful and grounded. Framed by arched steel windows and soaring ceilings, the space is shaped by contrast, light and dark, polished and matte, refined and natural.
Our team designed, manufactured, and installed this kitchen using a Sussex door profile in Dulux Lexicon Quarter for the cabinetry, paired with a striking black island in zero-gloss timber-look Farmers doors. The benchtops in polished Pietra Silestone bring a smooth, textural elegance, while the fluted glass pantry doors with steel framing offer a contemporary architectural gesture.
Every surface balances beauty with function. Satin finishes reflect the sunlight softly throughout the day, while Scorched Black and Blackest Black hardware from Hepburn Handles introduce tonal depth without disruption. Appliances from Smeg, PITT, Miele, and Bosch are fully integrated, reinforcing the kitchen’s sleek presence.
In the laundry and mudroom, a fresh Grass Sands palette meets warm Polytec timber tones. Smartstone Bianco Puro benchtops and storage zones bring practical performance to everyday.
This project captures Built to Desire’s signature approach, joinery that speaks to real living, elevated through thoughtful detail. The Elderslie home now carries a consistent design language, from kitchen to laundry, grounded in contrast and light.
Our kitchens are designed for homes that hold more than routine; they hold rhythm, gatherings, and quiet moments. Speak to our team about a custom joinery solution tailored to the way you live.
