Bardwell Valley Project

This Japandi inspired kitchen we completed in the southern Sydney suburb of Bardwell Valley has resulted in a sanctuary-like kitchen with its earthy tones and calming palette.
Japandi inspired kitchens pair Japanese craftsmanship with Scandi-inspired designs for a functional, but elegantly design space that uses organic textures and neutral tones. Its functional, yet stylish, combining everything you need with nothing you don’t.
The calming shade of Green Slate by Laminex in the Absolute Matte Finish, is balanced with the earthy tones of Plantation Ash in a Woodmatt finish by Polytec. The 20mm stone benchtop, including waterfall ends to the island and splashback in colour Primordia by Caesarstone provides contrast and adds a visual interest to the space.
To keep lines clean, no handles have been used, with cut-outs to doors & drawers & handleless upper cabinets keeping in trend with the design brief.
Less is more when it comes to styling this Bardwell Valley kitchen, and tones have been kept earthy and neutral without introducing further colours into the space.
When working with smaller spaces it’s important to have a balance of functionality without over cluttering. The design of this Bardwell Valley kitchen has provided additional storage with wall cabinets to the ceiling and opting for drawers to the island. The microwave has also been cleverly concealed behind a door. The tall pantry also includes inner drawers for added functionality.
The incorporation of the open shelving provides a space for styling the kitchen that doesn’t take up bench space. Its simple in design, but provides an eye catching focal point to the design.
This kitchen installation in Bardwell Valley resulted in a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing kitchen that has an inviting warm feel to the space with a sense of serenity with its calming palette.
