The Ermington Project

Burradoo Hampton Style Kitchen

Built to Desire was engaged to deliver full custom joinery and design for this considered kitchen in Ermington. Anchored by a hand-selected, bookmatched stone benchtop and splashback, the space feels both sculptural and calm, a balance of high-end materiality and functional flow.

The natural stone takes centre stage with warm veins of honey, caramel, and earthy grey running in mirrored formation across both benchtop and splashback. This rich surface is surrounded by sleek polyurethane cabinetry in Lexicon Quarter, finished in satin for a soft, luminous effect. The handleless sharknose profile ensures a clean, uninterrupted face, allowing the textures of the stone and light to breathe.

Discreet black appliances, including PITT cooktop, Schweigen rangehood, and integrated Miele ovens and fridge, sit recessed within the joinery, reinforcing the kitchen’s restrained luxury. A concealed butler’s pantry continues the same material language, complete with open shelving in Blackened Oak Woodmatt and a pull-down Trance mixer tap.

Every element in the Ermington Project is resolved with clarity and cohesion, from the Turner & Hastings sink to the Bosch dishwasher and Miele coffee machine. The result is a contemporary kitchen that feels intentional, serene, and deeply functional.

Built to Desire creates kitchens that elevate the everyday while reflecting how real families live. If you’re building or renovating in Ermington or greater Sydney, talk to our team about designing a space that holds its own, quietly and confidently.
